Free Pregnancy Tests
You do not have to wait for a missed period to find out if you are pregnant!
If you are sexually active, it is possible to become pregnant regardless of whatever safety measures you may have taken. Know for sure by scheduling a free and confidential pregnancy test at one of our Centers.
With over-the-counter pregnancy tests you must wait until you have missed your period. Costs depend on the type of test performed and where you purchase it. Home pregnancy tests generally run anywhere from $8 to $15. A test from a licensed medical provider may cost a bit more, but it can also be more accurate.
We provide a free, laboratory-quality pregnancy test that can usually detect the pregnancy hormone hCG in your urine about 10 days after your first missed period. Results are available within 3 to 5 minutes after testing a urine sample.
You might be pregnant if you have one or more of the following symptoms:
- Late or missed period
- Nausea and/or vomiting
- Frequent urination
- Spotting or cramping
- Unexplained fatigue
- Feeling lightheaded or dizzy
- Food cravings or aversions
- Increased sense of smell
- Darkening of nipples
- Sore, swollen, or itchy breasts
Not all these symptoms or even a positive home pregnancy test are 100% accurate in determining whether you are pregnant or not. If you have been sexually active and are experiencing one or more of the symptoms listed above, you might be pregnant. The best course of action is to see your doctor or come to us to be tested. Contact us today to schedule your free, confidential pregnancy test.
Same-day Appointments or Just Walk-In
If you think you are pregnant and are unsure of what to do, make a same-day appointment or walk in to either Center during the hours they are open for your free, confidential pregnancy test. In addition to taking a pregnancy test, you will have the opportunity to meet with a Care Net Client Advocate to talk about your pregnancy options. If you are pregnant, you will also be able to schedule a free ultrasound exam in our Santa Fe Center that will determine how far along you are in your pregnancy.
How long will the appointment take?
The appointment is generally 30 to 45 minutes but can be shorter or longer depending on your needs. The test itself takes only 10 minutes to complete. You may come alone, or you may bring a partner, family member or friend with you. The tests are administered in a private room with the assistance of a trained client advocate.
While we can help you determine if you are pregnant and give you up-to-date medically accurate information about all your options, we do not offer, recommend or refer for abortions or abortifacients.
